About the Role
As QuillBees expands its reach into regional markets, we are building a roster of skilled translators to bring our titles and content into Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, and other Indian languages. We are looking for translators who understand not just the words, but the cultural weight behind them.
What You Will Do
- Translate manuscripts, marketing copy, and educational content from English into target languages
- Ensure translations are culturally appropriate and natural — not literal word-for-word renderings
- Maintain the voice and tone of the original author throughout
- Work with our editorial team on glossaries and style decisions for each project
- Review and revise translations based on editorial feedback
What We Are Looking For
- Native or near-native fluency in the target language alongside strong English proficiency
- Prior translation experience — published translations or substantial professional work
- Sensitivity to literary voice, tone, and register
- Ability to manage project timelines independently
- Specialism in children's literature, literary fiction, or educational content is a strong advantage
